BRIEF BIOGRAPHY
The celebrity and well-known actor Johnny Depp, with 50 years and 29 spent in the world of the cinema, is also known as Edward Scissorhands, Willy Wonka, Captain Jack Sparrow and Mad Hatter; all of them famous characters of films that he has performed.
He was born in Owensboro, Kentucky, the 9th of June of 1963. He grew up in Florida, and his parents were divorced when he was 15; His family problems drove him mad, and engaged in self-harm. He said in an interview:
My body is a journal in a way. It’s like what sailors used to do, where every tattoo meant something, a specific time in your life when you make a mark on yourself, whether you do it yourself with a knife or with a professional tattoo artist.”
Johnny Depp is also a musician; when he was 12 years old her mother gave him a guitar and started to play in a band called The Kids. Afterwards, Johnny left his studies and entered the world of drugs. As he usually says in his interviews, he admits having had a tough experience, where the only way out of his problems was the drug. He did not have any hope in his future, and of course not the support of his family.
However, in a stroke of luck, he met Nicholas Cage, who advised him to become an actor. He did some roles before, but the most significant until that moment was Edward Scissorhands with the director Tim Burton. Johnny played in 7 films of Tim Burton; with them he achieved international relevance, and finally, when he did the performance of Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean, he became a formal superstar of Hollywood, being one of the best paid actors in the history.
Unfortunately, he had troubles with the police and paparazzi, so he decided to go far away from Hollywood so that he could, more or less, have a normal life. He had two children with Paradis, his actual girlfriend and also had been partner of Kate Moss and Winona Ryder.

However, he does have a twitter account. If we take a look to the tweets he does, we could say the importance he gives to the pictures his fans send to him, and also the ones he has of photo sessions. With 400,000 of followers, we could say that it is a twitter pretty crowded.
Though, with a total of 111 tweets it is not a very crafted twitter. It is also remarkable that his tweets are read every day by a lot of people (In a tweet he can have 700 RT), so that he had to be careful of what he tweets about, and maybe that is the reason why he does not tweet very often.
If we take a closer look to their tweets, we can see that there is not any political or social comment; there is not a clear opinion. It is a wise move, so that nobody can be offended.
Some blogs, specialized in the world of cinema, have determinate that the career of Johnny Depp has been almost brilliant, with the exception of some films as The Tourist, that has been criticized, not only because of the little depth of its plot, but the interpretation of both actors; Jolie and Depp.
In some fan-blogs, it is accepted as one of the most charismatic and multifaceted actor. The performance of characters so different between them makes the audience think that his acting is outstanding, however, we can notice that frecuently he plays the role of an eccentric or antisocial character.
There are some hypothetical ideas about the fact that he has always felt different, but none of them are true. However, it is more realistic to think that he does not care about making a good impression, he just acts as he really is, not caring about other’s opinion.
I have always thought that being different was nothing wrong. Everyone is different, but there is a kind of fear in society to be so. Nobody wants to be accused of being crazy, freak, weird or anything, so we hide our individuality. But I always had a pretty good idea of who I was. As a teenager, I was in the music world, no one could divert me from that path, and it is still an important part of me. Then, the interpretation came into my life, but I still had a clear idea of myself. And that is something that I teach my children: that there is nothing wrong with being different. It’s good to have your own opinion and maintain your integrity.
It is because his authenticity and honesty that Depp is one of the most popular actors of the world, so that children and adults recognises his values as an actor and person.
